Xango Wisdom: Psychic Arts Entertainment Policy

Subject: Compliance with LVMC Chapter 6.12 (The Psychic Arts)
Legal Basis: LVMC 6.12.090 – Exemptions for Entertainment Purposes

1. Purpose and Scope This policy outlines the operational standards for Xango Wisdom to ensure all psychic arts activities are conducted strictly for entertainment purposes. In accordance with City of Las Vegas Code 6.12.090, these services are intended as an exhibition or performance and do not constitute professional advice or guaranteed predictions.

2. Entertainment Designation (Code 6.12.090) To maintain the "Entertainment Purposes" exemption, Xango Wisdom adheres to the following:

• Performance Nature: All readings (astrology, palmistry, cartomancy, etc.) are presented as a form of theatrical exhibition or amusement.
• Venue Compliance: Performances shall only take place in licensed theaters, resort hotels, or locations covered by a valid City of Las Vegas Special Event Permit.
• Non-Professional Status: Services are not marketed as medical, legal, or financial counsel.

3. Required Public Disclosure. Per LVMC 6.12.070, Xango Wisdom shall maintain clear signage at the point of service.

• Disclaimer: A sign at least 8" x 10" will be visible, stating: "All services provided by Xango Wisdom are for entertainment purposes only."
• Fee Transparency: All fees or requested donations will be clearly posted in letters no smaller than 3/4 of an inch. No "hidden" or "add-on" fees for "spirit removal" or "curse breaking" are permitted.

4. Personnel Standards

• Age Requirement: All performers representing Xango Wisdom must be at least 18 years of age.
• Work Cards: Every employee or independent contractor must maintain a valid, unexpired Work Card issued by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) as required for privileged business categories.
• Conduct: Performers must conduct themselves with honesty and integrity, avoiding any fraudulent or deceptive practices as defined by the City’s Business Licensing Department.

5. Prohibited Practices Xango Wisdom strictly prohibits the following:

• Soliciting clients in public rights-of-way (sidewalks/streets).
• Claiming the ability to influence future events through "supernatural" intervention for additional fees.
• Providing readings to minors without express parental consent.

6. Records and Licensing Xango Wisdom shall maintain its City of Las Vegas Business License in good standing. This policy will be reviewed annually to ensure alignment with any updates to the Psychic Arts Checklist (PL064).
